An arts and crafts space for making mending and meeting
in South Brent
Open since Mid-May 2021, we offer classes and open sessions in making and mending for people of all ages, abilities and experience to get inspired and learn new skills, make a mess, have fun with new friends, and clear up afterwards!
Open to all, with room hire
Open to all, we provide a lively community hub of creative activity. We have 2 beautiful, bright and well-equipped art studios (both with super-fast broadband, ideal for physical or digital events) where regular classes and one-off events happen. We also hire out these rooms at reasonable rates – help support Art House’s good work and experience this lovely space!
Our aims
One of our aims in setting up this non-profit hub for the arts was to help address social isolation in this rural area and provide a place for people to meet, learn sustainable skills, and be creative. We put any surplus funds we make into providing free or by donation sessions for all to fulfil these aims. We run regular drop-in sessions, summer activities for families, talks and gatherings. We also offer bursaries for people for whom accessing creative spaces is difficult.

As a non-profit community interest company (CIC), any profits are ploughed back into this venture. We rely on Friend’s subscriptions, funding and membership to help fund and support Art House’s activities.
