WE ARE ART HOUSE SOUTH BRENT

A group of like-minded people came together in early 2020 to discuss the idea of a centre for arts, crafts, making and mending in South Brent - something we knew there was a call for - then Covid struck!

We’re still here though, celebrating 5 years at the heart of the South Brent community, having grown organically; we gradually increased the number and variety of classes and events in our beautiful light studio spaces. We now have a busy timetable of classes, drop-ins, talks, open sessions, outreach events and occasional exhibitions.
We aim to provide a vibrant and engaging home for arts, crafts and making, with an emphasis on learning skills, sustainable practice and mending, for the community of South Brent and beyond, somewhere where people can gather and inspire each other.

Our community is a creative, inclusive and dynamic one - we know that art, making and creativity are at the heart of wellbeing for many. We also aim to support local artists and makers to practice by providing affordable space, to work and to teach. We are a CIC and run entirely by volunteers so any profit is put back into the organisation. We love working with other groups - get in touch!

Room Hire

We have 2 beautiful, bright and well-equipped art studios (both with super-fast broadband, ideal for digital events) where regular classes and one-off events happen. We also hire out these rooms at reasonable rates – please enquire for more information.
