Come and dip your toes in to the wonderful, whimsical world of automata (kinetic sculpture) with a one-day workshop hosted by The Quixotorium. This hands-on workshop introduces one of the key stalwarts of automaton mechanisms: the crank. Using recycled, repurposed and found materials, you will hand-make all the components to create a unique, fantastic, winged creature of your choice which flaps at the turn of a handle. All materials included, no prior experience necessary. Homemade soup and sourdough lunch, plus light refreshments included. £60
