In this workshop you will explore an experimental and playful approach to your work. You will be working with a range of materials including acrylic, ink, mediums, collage, pastels, graphite and charcoal, using the landscape as a loose reference. You will also have the opportunity to create your own collage papers and use these to develop depth and interest in your paintings.
Experience: Suitable for painters of all levels, including beginners as well as more seasoned artists looking for a new direction in their work. Most importantly you will be willing to experiment and remain open-minded to possibilities.
What you will learn:
To develop an intuitive and explorative way of painting
How to make expressive marks using tools other than brushes
Understand paint application methods and collage work
How to combine materials to achieve cohesive and interesting paintings
Develop a personal visual language through structured exercises and the freedom of experimentation
Gain confidence in developing and working with new techniques

£250 Price includes materials & equipment i.e. use of acrylic paint, mixed media paper, paper for exercises, collage, pastels, inks and charcoal. If you wish to use an alternative surface such as board please bring this with you.
