The Secret Little Art Show 2024
What’s going to happen?
On Saturday 27th April there will be an exhibition of work donated by lots of artists who all want to support the Art House. We hope that you will join us.
The ‘little’ bit
Artwork can be drawn, painted, printed, collage, textiles…in fact any medium you like as long as it fits into the dimensions of an A5 card.
The ‘secret’ bit
Visitors to the art show will be able to browse and buy. All art work will be on sale for the same amount, and the purchasers won’t know the name of the artist until after they have completed the purchase. So a great chance to get an original work of art at a reasonable price.
In the meantime, why not get cracking on some artwork which is A5 size, landscape or portrait.
Instruction for joining in:
You are invited to donate between one and three pieces of artwork. All artwork will be on sale for the same price and the proceeds will support the activities at the Art House.
Size - A5 (14.8 cm x 21 cm)
1. landscape or portrait orientation.
2. Any material and medium which fits into the A5 size is welcome - painting, drawing, printmaking, stitching, collage etc. You can be as inventive as you like!
3. Original artwork only please.
4. Secret - All artwork will be anonymous until after the sale. Please make sure your name and signature is on the back. You may want to add a title, and any contact details.
5. Please put your artwork in a sealed envelope. You can it drop off at three locations in South Brent, (all these venues will have a box for submissions);
Art House, Old School Centre, South Brent TQ10 9BP - Opening times vary with classes, but usually open 10am-3pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, a box will be in the foyer area
Artworks, Station Road, South Brent, TQ10 9BE - opening times: 10-4 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10-1, Wednesday and Saturday
The Village Shop, 1 Station Road, South Brent, TQ10 9BE - opening times: Monday to Saturday 8am - 6pm
Please deliver your work before Wednesday 24th April.
6. Art House, would like to show unsold work via the website, and during other events in 2024. But, if you prefer, you are welcome to collect any unsold artwork at the end of the show. Donated artwork will be photographed for publicity purposes only (and may appear on AH website and Instagram account)
7. The show will open at 10am, and will remain open throughout the day until 5pm.
8. Please share with your friends that you are taking part, and invite them to come along….but keep the identity your artwork a secret!
