Imogen Taylor Noble - Ceramics

Clay is good for you!

Imogen Taylor Noble is the resident ceramicist in the Clay Barn at The Art House. She is looking forward to exploring the Devon clays that the area is so well known for and to find ways to incorporate them into her work. She is interested in promoting sustainable practice in ceramics, and using local materials and knowing where they come from forms part of that approach.

Imogen studied ceramics at Camberwell in the 1980’s and has been a maker and a teacher on and off ever since. She also studied art psychotherapy and worked as an arts therapist with children and families for a number of years. She has worked in community settings and schools promoting creativity as a core skill, and encouraging people to get their hands dirty and try new things.
